Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Director to lead our commercial strategy and operations in the UK. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, managing key partnerships, and overseeing the development of new business opportunities. This is a senior leadership position, requiring exceptional strategic thinking, financial acumen, and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the organisation’s commercial strategy to achieve business growth and profitability targets.

  • Revenue Growth: Identify and execute new revenue streams, market opportunities, and business models.

  • Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Oversee commercial budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms while managing risks.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all commercial activities.

  • Support the Line Manager and the business with any other reasonable projects and tasks as and when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within [specify industry].

  • Strong background in business development, sales, and strategic planning.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
