Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Director to lead our commercial strategy and operations in the UK. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, managing key partnerships, and overseeing the development of new business opportunities. This is a senior leadership position, requiring exceptional strategic thinking, financial acumen, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the organisation’s commercial strategy to achieve business growth and profitability targets.
Revenue Growth: Identify and execute new revenue streams, market opportunities, and business models.
Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Oversee commercial budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms while managing risks.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all commercial activities.
Support the Line Manager and the business with any other reasonable projects and tasks as and when required.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
Proven experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within [specify industry].
